Scripture Alone
The Bible is the complete and perfect Word of God. It is the supreme rule for understanding faith and life.
Christ Alone
Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. He is sufficient and without Him, there is no possibility of salvation.
Grace Alone
Salvation is a gift from God. It is not earned or deserved, but is given by God through His mercy and grace.
Faith Alone
We are saved through faith in the work of Jesus Christ, not by our own work or effort.
The Glory of God Alone
All of life should be lived for God. All of creation is designed for the pleasure and praise of God in heaven.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The confession behind this
These five principles are a summary, not the whole. The fuller doctrinal standard this church holds to is the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689, which sets out at length what we believe about Scripture, God and the Holy Trinity, creation and providence, the person and work of Christ, salvation, the church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and the last things.
